You know, sometimes I tire of this quest, you humans seek Erebus naturally, perhaps you truly deserve that fate. I never should have encouraged him to make social links, and never should have left the guidance of the velvet room. But since I am here, perhaps it is time I took a more proactive stance in fixing such a sad race.

Oh... I got tired of waiting for humanity to grow out of notions like suicide, and murder, and other selfish wants so I've decided to simply call forth something from the night that Lord Philemon sealed away to deal with it all. My one true love is sealed away because of those desires and once I free him, perhaps we can start things over right.

Carving the symbols in the Earth that will undo those prisons. Do not worry, I only wish them to destroy those who hunger for their own oblivion. I have just come to the realization that even with hope there are those who will look away from it and thus give in to Erebus.

Alas as long as a single human wishes for their own end, it comes back so.... I have decided it would be simpler to just remove the problem.

Originally, my master asked me that very question. I thought that if Erebus were finally and ultimately killed that those thoughts would go away, however, I have come to the realization that humanity may not be strong enough for that and it may be time to simply start it anew.
