Elizabeth peers into her journal, with what could ALMOST be considered a look of concern on her face as she furrowed her brow slightly. Since she lost most of her power she no longer is certain that she can simply one shot sure kill Erebus were he to appear here and this has caused some concern.

"This celebration that I see being prepared for. The one to bring forth one of the many Messiah figures in the darkest of times. It is not in reality a celebration of ennui designed to wake Nyx from her slumber or to feed Erebus? I have noted on my world much of the food of Erebus comes at this time of year and I remember my first guest had to stop the awakening of Nyx now."

She shakes her head slightly, "If that is so there are other ways. Oblivion is not a good choice and while things seem dark feeding the beasts that would destroy the wall and end the pain is a bad solution. While I do not have the proper materials here to give quests to break the tedium here, I perhaps can assist in thinking of other ways to pass the time than oblivion? I have even seen children roped into this, please, perhaps I could..... Find a game?"

Elizabeth sees that this may just be a ruse. You know, an enigma, wrapped in an illusion, smothered in secret sauce. Its her job to get to the bottom of this.

"I see. What about those who can not spend time with or have no loved one?"

"I don't know," he responded with some awkwardness. Really, Yosuke didn't like the idea of not having plans that day and was the type to try too hard to make sure that kind of thing didn't happen. "I mean, you could always just hang out with your friends. But if that's not an option, staying in's not such a bad idea, either. Winter's cold, man."

It was a test, perhaps one to weed out the weakest willed when separated from their families? Was this to see if they warranted connections of their own? Either way it could contribute to the negative emotions that were so problematic, but it seemed that the society viewed those that succumbed to them as lesser. Humans were so odd.

"So test one's own willpower by ignoring it? I see, so it is a challenge. How fascinating."

"What? A challenge? Who said anything about that?"

...he didn't say anything like that, right? Yosuke was starting to wonder if maybe they'd been having two completely different conversations here.

Sadly they probably were. Were Yosuke to know the kind of environment she came from he may understand why, or the fact that maybe the Adams family is what Elizabeth sees as a perfectly sane and reasonable group, but odds are that didn't even make it to Inaba.

"Why you did. There have been garish mention and great monuments crafted, to have the willpower to ignore them, or the fortitude to face the problem head on despite angering the public would be quite the challenge!"

"Argh, that's not what I meant!"

How did someone even come to a conclusion like that?! Actually, he wasn't sure how to explain what he did mean.

"It's not really about trying to ignore it, it's more like just doing you're own thing. I mean, it's not like there's a rule to it or anything."

"Doing one's own thing contrary to the culture seems to make little sense though. There is a collective who does one thing, and outliers who may do their own or may despair. No one thing can be individual for all, looking at the sea of the soul will dissuade you of that notion."

Man, this conversation was really more than he bargained for. He wasn't exactly an idiot, but her words were hard to follow.

"I guess so." She had a point, he thought, but he wondered if she was making this whole thing more complicated than it needed to be. "Well, what do you want to do for Christmas?"

"Hrm. Well my family is not here, nor is he here so I suspect I shall just move onward were it any other day. Infinity is something that rarely waits for someone."

"Well, there you go. There's nothing wrong with that. Besides, knowing this place, they'll probably try to throw an experiment at us or something around Christmas anyway. It's probably better not to make plans, heh."

He gave an awkward laugh.

She looks down a bit, "You know, I have yet to be anything other than a control source in any of these experiments. I am not entirely certain how to handle that."

"What, you mean you haven't been affected by anything yet?"

"The me who is me has always been myself."

"Isn't that a good thing, though? I mean, it sucks for everyone else, but I bet most people would give an arm and a leg to be unaffected by those dumb experiments."

"I don't know. Sometimes to be unaffected means you exist outside and loose connection to those around you."

"Yeah, I guess that's true, but believe me, I don't think you're missing out on too much."

"Any chance lost to understand people better is a loss of great magnitude."

She looks down and sighs slightly.
