((ooc: Liz is suffering from Minato never existing so she may be a bit odd))

Action 1 - Park

[Elizabeth was in the park, petting a cat, looking less amused by the world and more irritated by it as she talked to it]

So here we are in a fake world filled with fakes. Fitting since mine was destroyed, did you know that? The one I was tasked to aid in its protection lost because not a single one of these humans had the courage to sign a simple contract. [She offers it a bit of fish and sighs] I suppose I should be happy that my brother's world found someone, but he was chosen to deal with those things, and ultimately that led to my sister being able to help but to sit at the sidelines and watch. It almost makes one wish to see these things lost to some monster that would devour them. Not like the Joker curse, that was apparently something in all of them but something to just destroy them, since that was all they apparently dreamed of.

Action 2 - The streets

[Its cold out and Elizabeth seems to be collecting wood for a fire when a drone man comes out of its stupor for a second and goes on about something dronish. A little girl appears next to Liz and giggles in a sinister way before uttering "Sir... Will you die for me?" as the drone just drops dead and Liz continues on her business, stopping only to put on the hat the drone was wearing.]

Its not even the right color....

I was the attendant. The master said dreams were sent to all who had a spirit that could, yet none answered. None wished to be held accountable for their own actions.

I see...

[The fact that a world has been lost through inaction is tragic. It is more tragic when her words hit so close to home. Because of Bazett's own inaction in her dreams, she had almost lost her allies. It is only slightly less painful to know that she had only lost her memories.]

There was a time before now when I would have told you that you are wrong. I would have told you that I, at least, would have fought.

[But she had not. When she had been offered the choice, she chosen the coward's route and allowed the girl named "Rin Tohsaka," who she can no longer consciously remember, choose to bear the burden. She had chosen to let that girl, as well as others, be forgotten by the town and then receive nothing but spite as a reward for their sacrifices.]

Now I know better. Perhaps, it is as you say--the people who are actuall "real" are gone, at least in our memories, and it is us "fakes" who remain.

I know not what this town does, or why it breeds those who's souls scream out fraud or genuine. I ceased to care about such trivial things long ago. Perhaps some great source of oblivion will be awakened to devour this place as well, it is not as if its so called defenders care, and I can see for certain that the inmates would in many cases welcome that.

You are wrong about that. We crave escape, not oblivion. You might not care, but I am certain most of us still do.

...Even if we are just what you would call "fakes."

But what beyond escape? Some destiny to hide from, or just some routine to become lodged in for eternity?

...I suppose for me, it would be a routine.

[What did she have waiting for her back at home beyond missions?]

But we would never be able to confront our destiny or break out of the routines if everything was to be destroyed.

[There is a certain degree of bitterness in her reply]

Yes... There is that.

I might not be the one to change our destiny. I know that I was too cowardly when offered that choice. But I also know that there are people in this town who were willing to take it. It's just that we have forgotten them. I will get my memories of them back and figure out how to undo this. And then you can talk to them about your problems.

[She shrugs a bit]

This place is a realm of dark things that feed off of dark feelings. Its tortures are just long enough to gain sustenance and keep us prisoners off guard I believe.

Then isn't it more important to not feed it? If we can continue to hope, then this town will not win.

[Though she does not know if her current feelings can be called hope, or if they are simple stubborness.]

Hope is a human trait, something that I have never seen. So I will just feed the cats I think. That and send the broken souls back to see if they can be restored.

I suppose that cannot be helped. I will see you again some other time, I guess.

[She starts walking off, feeling oddly uneasy.]
